With an investment of nine million dollars and the generation of 250 jobs by 2025, Walor , a French company specializing in forging and machining for the automotive sector , today writes a success story with a new expansion of its plant located in Irapuato, Guanajuato.

This plant began operations in the Parque Centro Industrial de Guanajuato in 2014 and is the first plant of the group in the American continent, since then it has consolidated technological developments that represent a competitive example at a global level.

Sylvain Lassalle, general director of Walor Irapuato , announced that as Tier 2 suppliers and after having started with 20 people, today they consolidate the growth of their operations, which will grow even more in the coming years, since they expect to bill in 2023 about 240 million euros.

“We have been growing, this is our first plant on this continent and over time we have become leaders in our technologies, demonstrating competitiveness and dynamism. After 2019, we experienced transformations and learned about resilience, agility and flexibility, but we have been able to overcome it and add new strategies”, he commented.

He said that the purpose of this plant is to continue exporting new technologies developed by the group from Mexico and other families of products are being developed as part of this growth.

In this expansion they will be manufacturing Magnet Housing, which is embedded in suspension systems for high-end vehicles. He said that from Walor they add value to their products through precision turning in larger volumes, as well as sophisticated assembly processes and machining through automation.

He said that in Europe they are working on the development of products for electromobility and it is a project that will be reflected in Mexico in the coming years,

"Increasingly we will add innovative components and we will be working on their development from Mexico, all this towards the vehicles of the future," he added.

For his part, Xavier de Saint Guilhem, COO of Walor Internacional , stated that being a Tier 2 company well recognized by OEMs for its excellent results in hot forging, machining, as well as steel and aluminum turning, it is at the vanguard like the rest of the companies in the world.

“We have 11 plants around the world and more than 13,000 collaborators and we are characterized by developing avant-garde and durable products, these are essential for the automotive industry of the future and we are on the same path”, he commented.

He also said that this investment will not be the last for Walor , since the automotive industry is in constant transformation and the requirements will continue to change, which is why the company is constantly growing.

He said that currently 15% of the products that Walor manufactures are aimed at internal combustion engines, so its new products to be developed and those that are already on the market are focused on meeting the expectations of the cars of the future.
