Safran announces expansion and 800 new jobs in Querétaro

Safran announced an expansion project in Querétaro with which it foresees the creation of 800 new highly specialized jobs; these will be added to the 2,500 that it already generates in the state.
Olivier Andriès , CEO of the company, recognized that the facilities that Safran has in Querétaro have become the largest maintenance center in all of America , as a result of the mentality for continuous improvement that Queretaro people have, which favors, he said, to the entity's global presence.
The expansion announcement was made in Paris, France , as part of the work agenda that Mauricio Kuri González , governor of Querétaro , undertakes for Europe . There, the president listed what he considers to be the entity's competitive strengths and stressed that the state is ready to reach the next level, for which his government works to offer the best settlement and development alternatives for companies from all over the world. .
Likewise, he highlighted the innovation and operational excellence of the French company, which, together with the quality and professionalism of the Queretaro workforce, position the entity as an important benchmark in the international aeronautical sector .
The French director, for his part, endorsed his confidence in Querétaro and celebrated that Safran 's decision has been backed by the support and accompaniment of the Querétaro government.
In addition, the company agreed to promote educational programs and specialized training centers in the aerospace sector , with the aim of reinforcing the technical skills of Queretans in the workplace.
Safran also showed a willingness to develop local suppliers and strengthen the local supply chain for the sector, globally.

Safran came to the state more than 15 years ago; Since then, he has installed three production plants and two maintenance and repair shops for landing gear and aircraft engines.
The international group develops high technology for the fields of aeronautics (propulsion, equipment and interiors), space and defense .
