Pollmann invests 4.45 million dollars for its new plant in Guanajuato

Pollmann International arrives at the Polígono Industrial de San Miguel de Allende with an initial investment of 4.45 million dollars ; However, the company announced that they will invest a total of 10 million dollars in the next five years.

This is the fifth plant in Mexico of the Austrian company, specialized in the development and manufacture of door locking systems  for the BMW and Daimler Trucks companies . 

The European supplier has more than 130 years of history, and is also dedicated to creating complex high-volume mechatronic assemblies with metal-plastic composites.

Pollmann had planned to arrive in Mexico for four years, but until now the investment announcement in Guanajuato was made official, where they installed a 5,000-square-meter plant .

In the remainder of this year, they will begin with the conformation of the production lines , where manual and automated assembly tasks will be carried out.

It is estimated that they will manufacture 1.4 million locks per year , equaling other company plants in various parts of the world.

This family business in the country will be in the acceleration phases from the beginning of 2021 and has plants in the United States, China and the Czech Republic , regions where they produce parts that are installed in 93% of the main car brands in the world.

It should be noted that this is the second plant in the automotive sector to be inaugurated in the Polígono Industrial de San Miguel de Allende in 2020.
